Winter must be around the corner, as the live-aboards at the marina have started enclosing themselves in their winter plastic wrap.

I wonder if the local residents are treated to random drunken bozos seeing if the megaphone works. Next to it (on the right of the concrete wall) is another piece, or maybe the other half of this piece.

At least this one is pointed out across the lake instead of at people's homes. Maybe it's for yelling at the Americans over there.
People live on the boats? It sounds chilly...
ReplyDeleteYeah, they do. Some sail down to the Carribbean each fall and return each spring, but a (totally unreasonable) number of them live in the marina all year 'round. We've actually considered it very seriously, but we're both too addicted to taking showers and that's one of the first things you have to reconsider when you live aboard, esp. after you seal your boat for winter, I guess. http://searoom.com/liveaboards-in-toronto-canada/
