What April Showers Brought

The April showers really haven't relented much, but I went out Saturday and, in a brief patch where it wasn't raining on me, took a few photos in the Music Garden.

These are my favorite daffodils.  I just like the color contrast.  There are a lot that are in the beige to peach range out there, but these just say "yes! Spring!" to me.

The pink tulips down at the eastern end of the garden as also great.  So pretty!

These are smaller, yellow, tulip-like flowers at the western side, but I don't know what they are:

And this, by the maypole - I don't know for sure what it is, but it's kinda neat looking: - I think it's a Persian fritilary:

There are some small checkered fritilaries along a nearby path; if I remember, I'll get some photos of them, too.
